Normally when a game, movie, or anything else promises it might cause seizures we are sadly dissapointed with the effects...
NOT HERE!
Todays game Ski Runner delivers completely, but more on that later.
The game's premise is quite simple, skiers are trying desperately to ski down Mt. Infinity after Bill Gates has placed us there...flash games with good plots... like that ever happened.
Game play mechanics are fairly simple, arrow keys move your skier up, down, left, and right, in an effort to avoid obstacles and collect pills. Slowly your "air" will drain, but luckily enough for us those magic pills let us breath at such a high altitude.
Score is gathered over a period of time, with pills awarding points...
But the pills have a second side affect...
ACID!
"I had to eat more of the pills to stay alive... But then the trees and rocks starting dancing.. And soon enough that weird dancing banana man was everywhere... God help me." -Skier
Thats right, once you reach a combo level, which is having over half air for a certain period of time... well.. the seizures commence.
They range from the DDR arrows to the letters addicting, and everything else you could imagine.
The difficulty slowly rises the farther down the hill you get, I don't think there is an end, but who knows... and who really cares.
This games soundtrack is AMAZING, it only has two songs, one for the menu and one for in game... but trust me that is enough. My only real hangup with the sounds in this game is the fact that you can't mute them... but who would want to, the music is so good.
I would have probably kept playing this game for hours, but after 30 minutes of staring at the colors... I was getting a headache.
