The way of the ninja... N. One of the most widely known and played Flash games I can think of, this baby has been around for a while. It is a staple of the flash game archives and required playing for just about everyone. This game manages to incorporate stunningly good physics with addictive game play that makes you want to keep coming back for more. Honestly, aside from today's 30 or so minutes, I have played this game for hours and hours back in highschool, it was the easiest way to kill time in class. But enough about the past, it is time to talk about N.

Users are in control of a ninja. Simple. A ninja on a quest to complete the entire series of stages that lie ahead of him. Each stage getting more and more difficult. And there is a time limit! Complete all 5 levels of each section in only 90 seconds total! However, don't worry to much about time, for as we all know ninja's love gold and nothing more. So make sure to collect the little golden squares along the way, they will increase the amount of time you can spend navigating each level. Also be prepared to hit space.

N is a game that is legendarily difficult. It has driven some of the best gamers mad with the sheer frustration of playing a level 30 or 40 times before finally mastering it. And then you find out that the next level is even harder.

The flash version that can be found online is a mere 30 stages of 5 levels. The version that can be downloaded found HERE spans 99 stages. It has been around since 2004, and with 2 million+ downloads, I encourage you to spend the time to beat the game... If you have a few months.

But onward! In each level there is a door that must be opened by triggering a switch, step into the door and the level is over. Sounds simple right? Well there can be a few barriers that need to come down first, these take additional time. There is only ever 1 screen tho, and it isn't that large. However you will also need to navigate your way around mines lasers rockets machine guns and more. N will keep your heart racing and brain working.

You always need another path to take, and planning in each level is essential to winning. You can't control the sound, there is no music. The controls can be modified from the main menu, and there is a help section. But trust me you will want to simply dive right in.

Overall N is probably hands down one of the simplest games, and one of the most complex at the same time. It reminds me of chess in that it can take 5 minutes to learn but a lifetime to master. Download this game, and find your way of the ninja.
